I really like questionnaires. They appeal to my sense of order. Why not?

What do you do in the real world?

As far as I’m concerned, fashion is the real world. Other than fashion? Lots. I take classes, mostly in religion and Latin. I compete in mock trial. I write things, and sometimes I perform said things at poetry slams and open mics. I model for local photographers. I eat tasty things, 99% of which are peanut noodles. I take really long walks. I explore cemeteries and haunted houses. I spend a lot of time thinking about spiritual/otherworldly/paranormal phenomena; I’m a religion major only because my university doesn’t offer parapsychology.

Mostly I just go on Reddit.

What music are you listening to right now?

Carol of the Bells – Celtic Woman. I absolutely love classical/orchestral/traditional music. Celtic Woman is one of my favorites. (Also up there are Loreena McKennitt, Clannad, Afro Celt Sound System, Dufay Collective, Altan, and the San Antonio Vocal Arts Ensemble. As for composers, give me Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Stravinsky, Pergolesi … good lord I’ll stop name-dropping now.)

What do you wish most to add to your wardrobe at the moment?

Fetish boots! They’re a fantastic invention. I have osteochondritis dissecans, though, which is (pidgin) Latin for “misshapen feet that hurt all the time”. Most heels are totally off limits. I’m on a bit of quest to find a pair of fetish boots that won’t kill me. (If any of you know of any resources, PLEASE let me know.)

Also, a really crisp white blouse to wear with black leggings and lots of jewelry. One theme I like lately is androgynous clothing with hyper-feminine accessories.

What current trend are you loving the most?

I’m liking paper-bag waists. I don’t currently own any, but I’ve been trying to simulate the effect with skinny belts.

What current trend do you hate the most?

I think rompers are ridiculous. Especially the name. Girls who wear rompers are the kind of girls who call their boyfriends “Daddy”. And not even in the cool BDSM way.

Honestly, I don’t really understand high fashion. Most of it looks alien to me. I appreciate it as art, but most of it seems totally unwearable.

Oh, also, I can’t stand the “dressy plaid” thing. That is cool ONLY if you are goth, and even then only barely.

Three favorite materials?

Satin, rayon, denim.

Three words to describe your overall sense of style?

Bosch meets Waterhouse.

How would you describe your winter look?

ALL the accessories! I prefer colder weather, because I can really ham it up. Coats over sweaters over dresses over tights. Plus boots and hat and scarf and any appropriate jewelry. And I’ve barely gotten started.

Who is your pick for the most stylish “it” celeb?

Because I have eyes, I’m a really big fan of Christina Hendricks.

If someone handed you $10,000 where would you blow it?
