rhapsody in slightly greenish blue

Oh hale – it’s summer and I’m eccentric! This silk suit (like most of my clothes, honestly) came from the $1 rack at the Classy Closet. I will never, ever get tired of otherwise formal outfits accented by neon hair and a slew of tattoos.

This is one of those “pictures speak for themselves” days – but I do want to remind my bloglings that Seven Daysies voting is currently occurring! Seven Days is Burlington’s local alternative paper – but if you don’t know that, you aren’t eligible to vote anyway, because the Daysies are open to Vermonters only. So if you are not (shame on you), ignore the rest. The Daysies are 7D’s annual “best of everything” awards, which for the past two years have included spots for notable locals. I’m campaigning like mad for “best-dressed woman”. I came in second last year and got a lot of free food. I hear the first-place winner gets a big fancy sash, so. There you go.

If you’re eligible to vote, please, please go to the Seven Days website and click on the top banner! Comment here with any questions, or e-mail me at skye.makaris@gmail.com.

Thank you kindly!

I aspire to be a bright-eyed girl in a big city, even though I wear glasses and live in what amounts to a hole in the ground.
